Museum Textiles and Collections
The aim of TCRC as a society is to work towards the collection and dissemination of knowledge in the area of Textiles and Clothing while collaborating with other researchers in this field of study.
TCRC is publishing bi-annual e-Journals; the theme of this issue is ‘Museum Textiles and Collections’. As we know museum textiles are a source of historical, scientific, artistic, or cultural interest. The rare sight of these textiles in museums holds lots of importance for scholars and researchers. They are storehouses of inherent technical and historical information. The TCRC team thought to bring forth and enlighten our readers with the grandeur of these precious ancient textiles and collections through this edition. The etymology, historical background, materials and processes of any such archaeological or ethnographic museum textile collections have been explored in this issue. The article should also cover following aspects like any special feature of the museum (with full details) and the collections you have chosen to write, what different types of textiles, costumes are in that museum, establishment details of the museum and its collection and also if possible describe the community or group to which these textiles belong.
