Design Aspects of Garment Construction
The aim of TCRC as a society is to work towards the collection and dissemination of knowledge in the area of Textiles and Clothing while collaborating with other researchers in this field of study.
TCRC is publishing bi-annual e-Journals; the theme of this issue is ‘Design Aspects of Garment Construction’. This special issue aims to unravel the constituting elements used to add interesting feature to the styling of garment(s).
The main focus is on etymology or historical development of a garment or style; characteristic features originating from sociological, cultural or anthropological contexts or constraints; availability of resources- materials, techniques, technology and expertise; structural design or applied construction methodology; conservation of garments and any other.
